California Burning

The fires here have been just awful. I've spent the last few weeks not breathing well. Even had to break down and go to the doctor. Luckily the winds changed and the air has pretty much cleared out. I feel really bad for the people who have lost thier homes from all of these fires. Kept in close touch with my brother who lives about an hour from Butte County. They're all okay. 

In all the years I've lived in CA, I can't remember a summer with so many fires. Well, hopefully, they're over now and people can start rebuilding.

Have worked split shifts all week and I'm beat. Have to say, though, I love my job. I was chosen "Teacher of the Month." Yay me. Funny thing is I'm just doin' my job, but the appreciation is nice. It's really nice to see a student understand a math concept that was giving them trouble.

Well, I'm off the next three days so, back to my new fic.
