I hate closing a show. It's always just a little sad saying good-bye to people you've worked with for weeks. I've dressed these four boys for the last three weeks and yes I'll see them again. Probably in the November show when we'll all be onstage together, but still. Ah well, closing weekend was awesome! The guys sounded great and looked wonderful even with a few costurme mishaps. I think I might like to try my hand at costuming a larger show sometime. But for now, this was fun and I'm so ready to be back onstage. Yay -- can't wait for November.
I kind of thought Hell Week as a costumer would be easier than as an actor. Well, guess again. So tonight full costumes. The cumberbunds are rolling and look sloppy, one of the guys' shoes fell apart, sleeves need to be taken down and the director would still like red suspenders. I'm dead on my feet and this was supposed to be an easy show to costume. How do I get myself into these things? Oh well, the guys are adoreable and the show is cute. I'll fix the costume issues tomorrow and Friday and we open on Saturday. Whew.
